Experienced Ankeny Allergist
Dr. Alkhatib attended Wayne State University for Undergraduate studies majoring in biology. Hereafter, he attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine obtaining honors in Immunology. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, at Baystate Medical Center/Tuft University in Springfield Massachusetts, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine through both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association.
Upon completion, he worked for two years in hospital medicine at Baystate medical center and later pursued his passion for Allergy and Immunology. He completed his fellowship training at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami Florida, where he also served as chief fellow. He is a board-certified Allergist/Immunologist through the AOA. Dr. Alkhatib treats all ages and has a special interest in managing difficult to treat Asthma.
